2007 FiberTite Project of the Year
In November, FiberTite leaders named the IBM roofs installed at Research Triangle Park, NC the "2007 FiberTite Project of the Year". Those involved in the sales, specification and installation of the job shared in the reward. Recipients include: Holland & Associates, the FiberTite Manufacturer's Representative firm in Southern Pines, NC; MacTec Engineering, the specifier, based in Raleigh NC; and, the contractors, CFE, Inc., based in Apex, NC, Cyclone Roofing in Indian Trail, NC, and Baker Roofing out of Raleigh, NC.
The FiberTite "Project of the Year" is chosen from a pool of submitted projects, based on the level of effort involved in selling the job, the size of the roof, the complexity of the design and installation of the roofing system and the significance of the project within its geographic region.
The 2007 FiberTite roofs installed for IBM cover high revenue producing facilities with millions of dollars worth of computer systems. Roof leaks or damages that cause service interruptions could cost the company at least $100,000 per day. More than 10 years of positive experience with FiberTite on different roofs at this same location gave IBM the confidence that FiberTite would be the best product for this job.
